By R. Toro
This Netbook is a very nice alternative to a tablet or full-sized laptop. If you want the convenience and small size of a tablet like the Ipad, but you need the keyboard and Windows operating system, then this is the perfect blend of each.
The 10 inch screen is approximately the same size as the Ipad. It is enough space to browse the Internet, check email, and type Word documents. I would not want to have this as my primary computer, but for occasional travel or coffee shop use, it is great. I always have the wireless, USB mouse that I keep in the bag with this Netbook for easier use.
At first I thought that the lack of a CD/DVD drive would be a problem, but with the memory card slot and the USB connections, I haven't missed the CD/DVD drive (and you could always add an external if you really needed one). The only downside is that you cannot use this Netbook to watch movies that are on DVDs, so keep that in mind if you were planning on using this in the car to watch movies.
The battery life for this device is excellent! I usually get very close to 8-10 hours, and that is with a good bit of WiFi use (You can get even more time with the WiFi off and the screen dim). I also love that it has a feature which makes it very quick to turn the computer on while it is hibernating.
The keyboard feels good to press, and is touted as spill-resistant, although I have not tested that out.
All in all, this is a good Netbook for occasional use; I would not recommend this as a primary computer, but for travel or other use away from home, it is great!

By Amy C. Metzger
I've owned several netbooks and this one is superior by far. It's hard drive space is impressively huge. The keyboard is easy to use and they way the keys are is great, doesn't look like crumbs or dust could get down inside it. The OS is zippy with all the bells and whistles.
Many people originally saw the netbook as a travel PC, a supplement to a desktop or even a cheaper alternative to the iPad. Allow me to suggest that this machine is really (in my opinion) better than that. I've decided that this machine will be my main PC and replace my HUGE laptop. Yes, you need to purchase an external CD drive and yes you will need to get accustomed to typing on a smaller keyboard and yes you will need to adjust to a smaller screen but there is very little that this machine cannot do so why not? There's 3x's the hard drive space on this machine than there is on my regular laptop. Why do you really need to have a cd drive? I have a portable one and I take it with me if I need to use it but I can live without it for day to day purposes. Anyway, it's just my opinion but there's no reason to have any other kind of PC. :)
UPDATE 10.6.12: The computer was telling me often that it was using a lot of memory so I did update it from the 1 to the 2. It was about $15 on eBay and it has really made the pc really speedy. I found it by searching "extra memory for the hp mini 210-4150NR" and it came up right away. I suggest doing the upgrade in memory, it's well worth it.

By Michael Faye
I was deciding between a larger laptop and the mini as I was told there were some drawbacks with the small one, but I can tell you, I am so happy I purchased this unit. You must change the Ram from 1gb to 2gb and then it will be great. 1gb is too slow. I just love this lap for traveling. Skype, Google talk, e mail, even movies work just great. If you are thinking about a mini lap, get this one. it has a better processor, better sound.
